Contact PEAKVEIN: Request an Advertising Truck Rental Quote

Request a quote for advertising truck hire, mobile promotion, LED screen trucks, compact promotional trucks, exhibition trucks, mobile stages and event production in Hong Kong. Call (852) 2809 2908 or WhatsApp 9011 3184. Our service covers all 18 districts.

Tell us your campaign goals. We will help select vehicles and plan routes.

You do not need to know exactly which advertising truck to hire before contacting us. Simply tell us your campaign dates, target districts, brand objectives, budget range and whether you need on-site interaction, and we can recommend suitable vehicles, content, operating hours, routes and event arrangements for your requirements.

For example, store openings usually focus on the surrounding neighbourhood and mealtimes; product launches may need an LED truck with content that can be updated; a brand roadshow may call for a mobile showroom, stage truck and on-site staff. Food campaigns involving tastings require early confirmation of the venue, food-handling arrangements and licensing requirements.Providing your campaign brief early makes it easier to secure your preferred vehicle and dates.

Three common enquiry situations

Situation 1: dates confirmed, content still undecided. This is an ideal starting point. Reserve the vehicle first, then complete the design and LED content over the following two to three weeks. Send your dates and target districts by WhatsApp to check availability first.

Situation 2: budget available, dates undecided.Start with our 2026 advertising truck cost formula to understand the pricing, then tell us your budget. We can work backwards to suggest the number of days, vehicle type and whether the plan can cover your target area.

Situation 3: the event is less than two weeks away. There is usually insufficient time to produce vehicle wraps at this stage. Give priority to an LED advertising truck, which only requires delivery of MP4 or JPEG files. Please call or WhatsApp us directly rather than using the form to avoid delays.

Prepare these details to speed up your quotation

An advertising truck quote involves more than a daily rate. Vehicle types, daily operating hours, routes, vehicle graphics, LED content, staffing, venues and licensing requirements vary between campaigns. The more complete the following information, the easier it is to propose a workable plan:

  1. Campaign and alternative dates: Especially holidays, weekends, opening days, major exhibitions or concerts
  2. Campaign objectives: Brand awareness, restaurant footfall, store openings, product launches, roadshows, property promotions, tastings or registrations
  3. Target audience: Office workers, families, students, residents, visitors, brand members or professionals in a particular sector
  4. Target areas: Provide specific commercial areas, streets, stores, residential estates, shopping malls or event venues wherever possible
  5. Operating times: Lunchtime, evening meals, after-work periods, weekends, holidays, night-time or full-day operation
  6. Content format: Vehicle wraps, LED video, still images, animated countdowns, product displays or on-site interaction
  7. On-site services: Promoters, tastings, distribution, MCs, photography, event coordination or stage arrangements
  8. Budget range: This helps us recommend an appropriate vehicle and level of service
  9. Deliverables: Route records, on-site photographs, videos or a post-campaign report
  10. Internal procedures: Formal quotations, purchase order numbers, contract templates or proof of insurance

What if the event is less than two weeks away?

Market information suggests allowing about 14 days for printing and installing vehicle wraps. For shorter lead times, an LED screen truck may be more suitable because it only needs MP4 or JPEG files and can be arranged sooner, subject to vehicle availability. LED is generally more flexible for store openings, product launches, seasonal promotions or campaigns requiring daily content updates.

A typical timetable from enquiry to deployment

Stage Work involved Suggested lead time
1. Enquiry and requirements Objectives, dates, operating hours, districts, budget and initial vehicle preferences 1–3 working days
2. Proposal and quotation Vehicle recommendations, draft routes, an itemised scope and quotation 2–5 working days
3. Confirmation and booking Confirm the quotation, reserve dates, sign the contract and arrange the deposit Depends on the customer's internal procedures
4. Design and content production Vehicle artwork, LED videos, revisions and final approval Revisions are the most common source of delay; allow 1–2 weeks
5. Printing and installation Print production, lamination, installation and inspection General market information suggests about 14 days
6. Final routes and venue arrangements Schedule, stationary displays, venue-use confirmation and staff briefing 3–7 days before the event
7. Event day Scheduled driving, stationary displays, on-site promotion and photographic records Daily hours as agreed in the contract
8. Post-campaign review Route records, photographs and videos, QR and promo-code data, and optimisation recommendations 3–7 working days after the event

Where an event involves stage performances, temporary structures or food handling, statutory application lead times become a critical part of the schedule. Work backwards from the event date; see the regulatory section below.

Vehicle options to explore before requesting a quote

Each vehicle meets different needs. A simple guide: choose LED for distance, night-time visibility and changing content; a compact vehicle for narrow streets, neighbourhoods and distribution supplies; a mobile showroom for display, trials and registrations; a stage truck for performances and ceremonies; and a vintage vehicle for brand image and photo opportunities.

Other vehicles and services you can combine

  • Mini vintage van: distinctive retro styling for brand campaigns and shoots involving boutique food, fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands
  • T2 pop-top van: a pop-top vehicle for venue entrances, photo opportunities, weddings and themed displays; a generator can be hired separately
  • Event production: planning, vehicle graphic design, production and installation, on-site staffing, event management and promotional execution
  • Service overview: explore all vehicle types and complementary event management services in one place

What is usually included in a quote, and what costs extra?

To avoid discovering a budget shortfall after booking, the following list explains common market inclusions and extras. The formal quotation determines the actual scope, but this checklist can help you ask questions of any supplier.

Item Typical market practice Questions to ask
Vehicle hire and driver Daily hire generally includes the vehicle and driver Is the standard day 8 or 9 hours? When does the clock start?
Fuel and tunnel tolls Basic fuel and one return tunnel trip are often included Are harbour crossings included? How are additional tunnel tolls charged?
Overtime Charged separately; commonly around HK$200–300 per hour Is the minimum overtime increment half an hour or one hour?
Vehicle design and printing A separate, one-off cost How many revisions are included? What is the material lifespan? Is removal charged separately?
LED content production Charged separately; customers supplying MP4 / JPEG files may avoid this cost What are the canvas dimensions and resolution requirements? Can content be changed during the campaign?
On-site staffing Charged separately according to headcount and hours How are promoters, event supervisors, MCs and photographers charged?
Venues and licences Charged separately; customers must help provide the required information Who is responsible for applications? Is there enough time to meet statutory deadlines?
Insurance Vehicle insurance is the supplier's responsibility; public liability insurance depends on the event What coverage does the venue require? Who provides the documentation?
Adverse weather Handled according to the contract What are the specific conditions for suspension, make-up time, postponement or refunds?
Campaign reporting Depends on the arrangements Are route records, on-site photographs and videos provided, and when will they be delivered?

Common timing and regulatory considerations for advertising truck campaigns

The following information is compiled from Hong Kong government publications as a reference when planning your schedule.Statutory lead times often become a constraint before vehicle availability does, so check them before confirming your event date.

Overview of statutory application lead times

Application / item Minimum lead time Other requirements
Temporary Places of Public Entertainment Licence: temporary structures required At least 42 days before the event Form FEHB104 and four copies of the plans; five copies where laser equipment is involved
Temporary Places of Public Entertainment Licence: no structures, other than a dance party At least 18 days before the event Issued by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department; fire safety matters may require Fire Services Department involvement
Temporary Places of Public Entertainment Licence: dance party without structures At least 7 working days before the event As above
Temporary Food Factory Licence At least 12 working days before the proposed start date Valid for no more than 7 days; fee HK$220; form FEHB 201A for individuals or FEHB 201B for companies. Proposed layout plans and payment must accompany the application.
Vehicle wrap printing and installation Approximately 14 days before the event General market practice, not a statutory requirement; allow additional time for design revisions

Routes, driving and stationary displays

A mobile advertising truck can drive through target areas, but driving and parking are different arrangements. Restrictions may vary in major shopping districts, at bus, public light bus and taxi stands, in tunnel areas, controlled areas and no-stopping zones. If the campaign includes tastings, distribution, product displays or stage performances, confirm early whether these can take place within store premises, shopping malls, private property, event venues or approved locations.

Hong Kong also regulates vehicle advertising differently by vehicle category. For example, the Transport Department has specific approval criteria for displaying or broadcasting advertisements on and inside taxis, including permitted advertising positions and a prohibition on protruding attachments. Owners or operators must obtain prior written Transport Department approval for advertisements on public light buses and non-franchised buses. If you are also considering taxi, minibus or bus advertising, check the requirements for each separately.

Tastings, food and catering events

If an event involves reheating, cooking or selling food, first confirm food-handling arrangements and venue rules. Under Food and Environmental Hygiene Department guidance, short-term food businesses selling reheated pre-cooked food and/or cooking pre-prepared, ready-to-cook food for consumption off the premises from temporary stalls or kiosks at public events, such as exhibitions, performances, sports competitions or concerts, must obtain a Temporary Food Factory Licence before operating. The licence is valid for no more than 7 days, costs HK$220 and requires an application at least 12 working days before the proposed start date. Licensees may only sell pre-cooked or ready-to-cook food supplied by licensed food factories or other lawful sources. Please explain food, tasting and catering requirements early in your enquiry.

Stages, performances and large events

Events involving public entertainment, such as performances, music, film screenings or related activities, may require a Temporary Places of Public Entertainment Licence from the FEHD. Where temporary structures are involved, the statutory application lead time is at least 42 days before the event. Confirm dates, venues and performances as early as possible: this is often the real starting point for the project timetable, rather than vehicle availability.

Sound systems and loudspeakers

Vehicle sound systems and amplification must take account of the surroundings, particularly residential areas, schools and night-time operation. Under section 5(1)(b) of the Noise Control Ordinance (Cap. 400), it is an offence to use a loudspeaker, megaphone or other amplification device or instrument at any time in domestic premises or a public place in a way that produces noise causing annoyance and amounting to a nuisance to any person; loudspeakers mounted on vehicles are also subject to this provision. Campaign planning should therefore focus on visual content, routes and lawful stationary arrangements.

Adverse weather arrangements

Ordinary rain may not prevent a vehicle campaign from operating, but tastings, distribution, stage activities and outdoor staff are more exposed to weather disruption. According to the Labour Department's Code of Practice in Times of Adverse Weather and “Extreme Conditions”, revised in May 2026, if an Amber, Red or Black Rainstorm Warning is issued during working hours, supervisors of employees working outdoors and in exposed areas should suspend outdoor work as soon as practicable and arrange safe shelter until conditions permit work to resume. If the Government announces “extreme conditions”, employees should remain where they are or in a safe place.

Confirm the contractual arrangements for suspensions, make-up time, postponements or refunds when approving the quotation and contract, rather than waiting until the event day.

The regulatory information above draws on public materials from the Transport Department, Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, Labour Department and Noise Control Ordinance. It is general information, not legal advice. Applicable requirements depend on the activity, location, vehicle and timing. Refer to the latest government publications and individual approval conditions.

Service coverage: all 18 districts of Hong Kong

PEAKVEIN's mobile promotion service covers all 18 administrative districts: Central and Western, Wan Chai, Eastern, Southern, Yau Tsim Mong, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon City, Wong Tai Sin, Kwun Tong, Kwai Tsing, Tsuen Wan, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, North, Tai Po, Sha Tin, Sai Kung and Islands.

However, “coverage of all 18 districts” describes a service area, not a campaign strategy. According to the Census and Statistics Department's 2024 district population figures, Sha Tin had the largest population, at approximately 704,000, followed by Yuen Long at about 677,000 and Kwun Tong at about 668,000. In terms of population density by land area, Kwun Tong was the densest, at approximately 59,000 people per square kilometre, followed by Sham Shui Po at about 47,000 and Wong Tai Sin at about 44,000. Islands, Tai Po and North were among the less densely populated districts.

In practice, dense districts allow shorter routes to reach more residents and are suitable for openings, food promotions and neighbourhood campaigns. The value of commercial districts such as Central and Western and Wan Chai comes mainly from daytime commuters and shoppers, so plan around operating times rather than residential population. Providing a specific store address or commercial area is more useful than simply writing “Hong Kong-wide”.

Population figures are taken from the Census and Statistics Department's 2024 district statistics and are used here only to explain campaign planning.

Frequently asked questions

What information do I need to request an advertising truck quote?

At minimum, provide the campaign dates, number of days, target districts, objectives and budget range. Additional details about your audience, LED requirements, vehicle design, distribution staff, tastings, mall or private venue arrangements, content production and alternative dates help us tailor the quotation and recommendations. A copyable campaign brief template is provided on this page.

Can you arrange an advertising truck with less than two weeks' notice?

It depends on vehicle availability and the content format. Vehicle wrap printing and installation generally take about 14 days. For shorter lead times, an LED screen truck is usually more flexible because it only requires MP4 or JPEG files. WhatsApp 9011 3184 or call 2809 2908 directly with your dates and districts; using the form may cause delays.

What does an advertising truck quotation usually include?

Inclusions vary by vehicle and package. Daily hire may cover the vehicle, driver, fuel, basic equipment and one return tunnel trip. Vehicle design, printing and installation, LED content, overtime, additional tolls, venues, promoters, event supervisors, photography, tastings and other services are normally charged separately as needed. Request an itemised quotation rather than comparing a single daily total.

How many hours are included in an advertising truck “day”?

There are at least two approaches in the market: some suppliers specify 8 hours per day within a 10am–10pm window, while others specify 9 hours from arrival at the target location. Overtime commonly costs around HK$200–300 per hour. Compare the actual hours available, as the same daily rate can represent very different levels of service.

What are typical market prices for advertising trucks in Hong Kong?

Published Hong Kong rental-platform prices indicate LED mobile advertising trucks at around HK$4,900–5,500 per day, HK$35,000 per week and HK$90,000 per month; general mobile advertising trucks at about HK$5,500 per day and HK$105,000 per month; and compact advertising trucks at about HK$4,500 per day and HK$29,000 per month. Other published industry analyses place standard LED trucks at around HK$2,500–5,500 per day, usually including a driver, basic fuel and tunnel tolls. These are market references, not PEAKVEIN quotations. Actual charges are subject to a formal quote.

Can I specify the advertising truck's route?

Yes. Provide names of stores, malls, event venues, residential estates, commercial areas or target streets. We will recommend routes based on campaign goals, timing, road conditions, parking restrictions and practical scheduling. Stationary displays and driving routes need separate planning because parking restrictions are common in major commercial districts.

Can an advertising truck remain in a busy area for a long display?

Driving and stationary display are different arrangements. Parking restrictions apply in major commercial areas, at bus, public light bus and taxi stands, in tunnel areas, controlled areas and no-stopping zones; extended stops are often impractical. Tastings, distribution, displays and interaction are better arranged within store premises, malls, private property, event venues or approved locations, with public streets used for driving coverage.

Can you show videos on an LED screen?

Yes. LED trucks generally play MP4 videos or JPEG images. Prepare the canvas size for the specific vehicle's screen. Use large type, high contrast and minimal text, with QR codes, store names, dates or offers fixed in a clear position.

Can you arrange promoters, leaflet distribution, tastings or on-site interaction?

These can be arranged according to the campaign. Tell us whether you need promoters, event supervisors, distribution, tastings, MCs, photography or coordination. If food is reheated, cooked or sold, confirm food licensing, handling and venue requirements early.

What licence is needed for a tasting event or food sales?

Under FEHD guidance, short-term businesses selling reheated pre-cooked food and/or cooking pre-prepared, ready-to-cook food for consumption off the premises from temporary stalls or kiosks at public events must obtain a Temporary Food Factory Licence before operating. The licence is valid for no more than 7 days and costs HK$220. Submit form FEHB 201A for individuals or FEHB 201B for companies, with proposed layout plans, at least 12 working days before the proposed start date.

How early should I apply for an event involving performances or structures?

A Temporary Places of Public Entertainment Licence (TPPE) from the FEHD may be needed. Its guidance specifies applications at least 42 days before events with temporary structures, 18 days before events without structures other than dance parties, and 7 working days before dance parties without structures. Submit form FEHB104 and four copies of the plans, or five copies if laser equipment is involved.

Can promotional vehicles play music or use loudspeakers?

Exercise particular care. Section 5(1)(b) of the Noise Control Ordinance (Cap. 400) makes it an offence to use loudspeakers, megaphones or other amplification devices at any time in domestic premises or public places in a way that causes annoyance amounting to a nuisance. Vehicle-mounted loudspeakers are covered by the same provision. Focus on visual content, routes and lawful stationary arrangements, and avoid amplification in residential areas at night.

What happens during a typhoon or heavy rain?

Agree the arrangements in the contract beforehand. The Labour Department's Code of Practice in Times of Adverse Weather and “Extreme Conditions” advises supervisors to suspend outdoor work as soon as practicable and arrange safe shelter if an Amber, Red or Black Rainstorm Warning is issued during working hours. During Government-announced “extreme conditions”, employees should stay where they are or in a safe place. Practical arrangements commonly include suspending routes, making up time or rescheduling. Confirm the specific terms when approving the quote.

Can you provide GPS route records, photographs or a report?

Confirm the required deliverables before the campaign. Route information, operating times, stationary stops, photographs or video can generally be provided as agreed. To measure results, use dedicated QR codes, promotional codes, short URLs or registration pages on the artwork or distributed materials to track scans, enquiries, visits or conversions.
